As an adult beginner, I am constantly finding ways to improve my cello experience both on and offline. I foresee the cello as my long term companion; an ongoing love affair. I hope to one day make her sing to her full potential. In the meantime, all spare time and moments are dedicated to this wonderful instrument as I am unable to think about anything else, much to the dismay of my other half :}
Deryn's teaching method includes the general idea of the Alexander Technique but it's mostly tailored to each individual student and their progress/abilities. I have been having lessons with her once a week since the 23rd of May 2012 and fornightly since 19th of July 2013 but have only started blogging about my progress from the 12th lesson, mostly as a reminder of the classes so I don't forget.
